Alfred Walter Williams
Alfred Walter Williams1824-1905 BritishLondon Artist. Alfred was a member of the Williams Family of painters. His work is close in style to S. R. Percy his brother who he was close to. They painted similar stretches of Heath Land and Mountains scenes. They both loved the Snowdonia area of North Wales. Alfred lived in Barnes, Redhill and Reigate and painted many paintings in Surrey. Williams painted scenes around the South of England, visiting the Medway and other places in Kent, he also painted areas along the River Thames, Devon, the Lake District, and the Scottish Highlands also attracted him. Alfred exhibited at the Royal Academy (76), British Institution (42) Suffolk Street (79) and elsewhere. Examples of his work are at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Leicester Museum, Sunderland Museum the National Museum of Wales and Cardiff.
