A former graduate of Falmouth School of Art and Design. An illustrator as well as a painter David is interested in the relationship between the interaction of people and the sea. From landscape studies to wide panoramas he is searching towards a gradual unspoken narrative which pulls the viewer into his paintings. Inspired by figurative art from Millet to Edward Hopper David has been an illustrator for 15 years. During that time he has worked for a wide variety of publishers, including Random House, Egmont, OUP, HarperCollins and Macmillin, producing book covers for Puffin Classic's such as the diaries of Anne Frank and portraits toward biographies of HG Wells by Michael Foot.
