Everett Watson Mellor was a landscape painter in both watercolour and oil. Born in London, he was the son of William Mellor, a renowned landscape artist. Everret was taught by his father, and his style is very similar to that of William’s, with whom his works are sometimes confused. Both father and son had a wonderful eye for composition and their choice of landscape is superb, taking inspiration from the landscapes of North Wales and the North East. He died in Middlesbrough in 1965.
