Mjolby Decouperfabrik was established by Knut  in 1909, and the name was changed to Mjolby Intarsa in 1917. It was Knuts son Gosta Dahistrom who lead the company from year 1943 with Erik Mattsson as artistic leader. Mjolby Intarsa focused on special and advanced mixing of different types of wood, with intricate marquetry work. The company was active until 1949
