Raymond Booth trained at Leeds College of Art during the late 1940's and early 50's. He is well known as a painter of botanical and natural history subjects, and also as a gardener and cultivator of exotic and rare species of flowers. As a result Booth is able to create such detailed paintings, as he knows every plant, understands it, and he appreciates its individuality.
