Introduction

Derek and Valerie Roberts wanted a new website to compliment their collection at the Edenbridge Galleries. They wanted to pursue a classic British design but with a modern style. They wanted the theme of the website to be in line with the nature of their business. They also felt it would be a good idea to have categories for all their stock, an archive section and for Derek's books to be listed. Finally they wanted a recent aquisitions section to be visible on their homepage. All these features with classic, bold colours and a balanced look to the pages.

Solution

We went for a modern looking website with classic British fonts. We decided to include an image of an antique clock in the header and a black background and the two colours worked very well together. We felt it was important to have the stock for sale boxes both visual and with prominent text to bring attention to the user. we also felt it was important to have some welcome text and the inclusion of trade association logos. We then finished the design with images of recently aquired items.
