Joanna Booth

Introduction

Joanna Booth has been established in Chelsea since 1965 and has a diverse stock of Sculpture, particularly early Wood Carvings, Textiles and Tapestries, Old Master Drawings and early Furniture. The combination nonetheless makes an interesting mix and is reminiscent of the Renaissance interior with its emphasis on fabrics and ornament.

Joanna Booth traded from a shop in Kings Road for forty two years but closed in August 2007. They will however continue exhibiting at Fairs both in London and abroad. The Fairs give Joanna Booth more scope to display larger pieces and demonstrate how many of their early pieces look so fantastic in modern interiors.

Solution

With businesses that no longer have a shop and are focusing more on Fairs it is extremely important that they have a contemporary looking website that visitors can use to browse through their stock. Joanna Booth required a strong but clean design to allow the works of art to be showcased without their presence being undermined by too much interference from the website design. The result is a clean but precise design with careful consideration being placed on the environment that the subject matter inhabits.
